Glotaku Filler Beach Episode

Glotaku Filler Beach Episode promotional poster

It’s beach party time! Performed at Glotaku Filler Beach Episode (Columbus) on May 23, 2026.

Track List

I played a 15-minute set with these tracks:

  • Limitless by Hyleo
  • Tsugaru Burst by Exyz, SENZO, Momokusu Iwata
  • Tech Alert by lapix
  • 最愛人生ランナー (feat. 初音ミク) by Kairikibear, SEGA GAME MUSIC, Hatsune Miku
  • tik tok by gladde paling
  • Right There, Ride On (From “Sonic Rush”) by Awedecai, Hideki Naganuma
  • Over My Hand by Srav3R
  • Rav#girl by Srav3R
  • Bookmaker by Kobaryo
  • MACHINELOVE by t+pazolite

Selection

I first heard that the sets would be 20 minutes long, so I started to scramble. I had just finished Karate Ferrari recently, and adapting it was going to be the easiest thing to do.

However, the beginning of that set is tailored more for RECHARGE. I wanted to lean more into Glotaku’s party aesthetic, and I was stressing! I look up to Glotaku a lot, and I wanted to match that aesthetic as much as I could.

I settled on 175-180 bpm being the ceiling and the main focus of the set. The Miku song and Srav3r are perfect for this audience, so I focused on leading into them as best as I could. To do that, I decided to start with Limitless by Hyleo instead of having that be a mid-section cooldown like in Karate Ferrari.

MACHINELOVE by t+pazolite is my new earworm. It’s so good! It can be a bit harsh…

Selection Low Points

  • Limitless into Tsugaru Burst is a jarring jump in tempo.
  • I question the fit of the hardcore drop of tik tok and Bookmaker with this audience.
  • My knees hurt so much later that night. I need to consider my plan in the future to handle tempo and endurance over longer periods of time, and use my j-core hyperfixation sparingly as sections of a set.

Feedback

I was so incredibly thankful to Glotaku for letting me play for them before the main event started. The DJ’s that were listening kept telling me throughout the night how good my set was!

I felt so honored! I look up to all of them; they are exceptionally talented! Thank you so much!

The DJ’s I got to talk to(sorry if I missed you!):

  • Obiwanshinob1: sorry I didn’t get to hear your set!
  • Keifergr33n: if you played for the kids I play for back home, they’d lose their minds! That was awesome!
  • Monarch: you really got my feet moving! My knees hurt 😅
  • kilo.hawke: thank you for your turntabalism recommendations!

Shout Out: Buggtiii

Before me playing open decks was Buggtiii, who had only played on CDJ-like hardware a few times before. You’re so cool! I think I’ve seen you at Glotaku before. Weren’t you MCing some of the event in Columbus in December?

During her set, I had to rescue the monitor speaker that was on top of the subwoofer. It was rattling so much that it was about to fall off! There was so much bass my shirt was vibrating because I got too close to the sub to rescue the monitor, lol!

Firestarter by the Prodigy? Great choice! Hope to see you play again!

Party Time!

Glotaku Filler Beach Party Episode was so much fun! I haven’t had that much fun in a long time! I met really cool people!

Lil’ Euphony got to hang out with the Ultimate Lifeform!
I got to meet my new friends Brice, ZenGenesis and co.!
I love this song @keiffergr33n!

Hydraa!

I was so excited to see Hydraa perform! I was very surprised that his DJ style is so much different from his production. It was so dark and edgy! As soon as I heard one of his songs that I recognized I went bananas!

Sadly, my knees were in so much pain by this point in the night I couldn’t quite dance as much as I wanted.

Oops…

Don’t bring a beach ball to an indoor beach party. It WILL hit one of the bartenders in the face, and they will be very angry! Before I left I tipped her $10 and apologized. I’m sorry! 😅

Thank You!

Thank you so much to Glotaku and all the wonderful people who make it possible! Please show them your support, whether you’re a DJ, a producer, a cosplayer, a vendor, a volunteer, or someone who just goes out to dance!
